A selection of the collections and individual items currently in our care - each one a story waiting to find its next chapter.
An extraordinary complete collection centred on a hand-numbered blue vinyl pressing of "Bohemian Rhapsody" - produced exclusively for the 1978 EMI Queen's Award to Industry luncheon at the Selfridge Hotel. Twelve items in total, including the original carrier bag, etched wine glass, signed luncheon menu, admission card, original photographs, and a remarkable provenance archive spanning 1941 to 1979. As Music Week noted at the time: "likely to be worth a few bob in years to come."
The complete Led Zeppelin studio catalogue on Classic Records' acclaimed 45 RPM series, pressed on 200-gram Quiex SV-P vinyl and housed in a metal road case. Ten albums across 48 records - the definitive audiophile statement on the Zeppelin back catalogue.
The protective foam inside the box is deteriorating (hydrolysis); the foam sheet has come loose and has been secured with masking tape. The blue plastic protection remains on both sides of the road case. Most white sleeves are clean, though a few carry slight staining. Houses of the Holy's sleeve has minor corner bumps. The records themselves are in unused condition.
One of only 350 examples of the deluxe limited edition of Rykodisc's landmark 1989 anthology - the release that introduced Bowie's catalogue to the CD generation and remains among the most significant Bowie box sets ever produced. Copy 127 is housed in its original LP-sized basswood and birch wooden box and retains the numbered certificate of authenticity bearing David Bowie's in-person signature. The 3-CD set chronicles his recorded history from a 1969 bedroom demo through to 1980, spanning Trident Studios, the Hammersmith Odeon, Hansa Berlin, the Philadelphia Spectrum, and the Power Station in New York. The CDV and the original 72-page booklet are both present and intact, contained in their original jewel and slimline cases.
