This initial stage is entirely without commitment. We're simply trying to understand what you have and whether we can add genuine value to the process of selling it.
Once we've agreed to proceed, we conduct a thorough assessment. This goes beyond condition grading: we research market comparables, recent sale prices, the depth of collector interest in specific genres or artists, and - crucially - the provenance and story around the items.
We provide a clear, honest estimate of likely sale values and the best approach for achieving them. No inflated numbers to win your business - just an informed, realistic assessment.
Significant collections and items deserve professional presentation. We write detailed, authoritative descriptions that communicate both the technical specifics and the broader context - the story that makes an item truly compelling to a serious buyer.
Photography, condition assessment, and any relevant research are handled by us. You don't need to do anything beyond making the items available to us.
Before any public listing, we approach our network of private collectors, specialist dealers, and institutions directly. The most significant outcomes frequently come from this stage - where a buyer who understands the item's rarity meets a seller whose expectations are grounded in reality.
Where appropriate, items are also listed on third party websites Discogs and ebay but will primarily be promoted through our spotlight consignment website and social media channels.
We handle all aspects of the sale: negotiation, secure payment processing, packaging and insured shipping. For large collections, we coordinate collection from your address and manage the logistics end-to-end.
You are kept informed at every stage. Nothing moves without your knowledge and agreement.
Once items are sold and payment is confirmed, we settle with you as promptly as possible. You receive a full account of what sold, for what price, and our commission deducted transparently.

We charge a commission on items we sell on your behalf. The rate is agreed at the outset - before we begin any work - and is fixed. There are no listing fees, no assessment charges, and no costs to you if an item doesn't sell.
